Abstract
Oil/water two phase displacement experiment can describe macroscopic flow characteristics,but not the microscopic producing status of reservoirs.NMR technology has been applied to study the characteristics of oil/water two phase flow from microscopic perspective.The displacement performance of oil displacing water under water-saturated condition and that of water displacing oil under oil-saturated condition are studied through converting relaxation time spectrum to throat radius distribution and calculating saturation between throats,thus derived the distribution of oil and water in pore space and the degree of oil reserve recovery between throats at different stages.This study provides more comprehensive understanding of the mechanism of two-phase fluid flow and is of important significance to exploration in new areas and development adjustment in existing oilfields.
