Abstract

There are a lot of differences on whether acute facial paralysis can be treated by acupuncture at present.Some doctors think the earlier patients use acupuncture treatment,the better the results will be.However,there are also some doctors who have the opposed views especially western medicine doctors.The author thinks that it should begin to use acupuncture treatment for facial paralysis as soon as it occurs.This paper will discuss the reasons from the two aspects of traditional Chinese and western medicine on the pathogenesis of peripheral facial paralysis.
