Abstract
Objective To study the therapeutic effects and safety of amlodipine plus candesartan in the treatment of the elderly hypertensive patients. Methods One hundred and two cases of elderly hypertensive were randomly divided into treating group and control group.51 cases of the treating group were treated with amlodipine plus candesartan, and 51 cases of the control group with amlodipine. The clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed. Results After treatment, all patients'blood pressure decreased significantly(P 0.05);the treating group lower than the control group(P 0.05).The total effective rate in the treating group(90.20%) was significantly higher than in the control group(78.43%)(P 0.05).No adverse reactions occurred in both groups. Conclusion The curative effects of the union of the two drugs to treat elderly hypertensive patients is better than single amlodipine with better tolerance, and no obvious adverse reaction.
