Abstract
Based on the integrated analyses of the rate of back silting given in Tianjin Port,maintenance dredging intervals and available dredging equipment suitable for the dredging in the channels and basins,it is proposed,in the light of the engineering practice of maintenance dredging in Tianjin Port,that the depth for siltation in the navigation channels being under construction for vessels from 150 000 dwt to 200 000 dwt in Tianjin Port should be 1.0 m and 1.4 m for the basins and berth boxes.
