Abstract
Rotary bending of thin-walled tube and its process characteristic are analyzed in detail. The emphasis of this work is put on the influences of the four gaps on the formability of thin-walled tube and its springback, namely, gap between mandrel assembly and tube, gap between pressure die and tube, gap between wiper die and tube, gap between bending die and tube.Four factors and three levels orthogonal tests are carried out.It shows that the gap between mandrel assembly and tube is the most significant factor for both the formability and springback of thin-walled tube rotary bending. And gap between bending die and tube is another important factor that influences the tube springback.
