Beneficiation research on strengthening recovery of silver from a copper oxide ore

Abstract
In a silver-rich copper oxide ore,silver mainly consists of free silver and silver carried by copper.An abundance of copper oxide ore and a tiny amount of copper sulfide ore function as carriers of silver.In order to maximize the silver recovery,a selective flotation process offree silver and copper sulfide flotation-copper oxide flotationwas introduced,and LF-105 was selected as sliver collector.From a crude copper ore with silver grade of 335.56g/t and copper grade of 4.91%,a silver concentrate assaying silver grade of 4417.11g/t at the recovery rate of 85.69%as well as a silver-rich copper concentrate assaying silver grade of 310.45g/t at the recovery of 11.59%and copper grade of 27.98%at the recovery rate of 71.36%were obtained.The total silver recovery of the whole process was up to 97.28%,which indicates good comprehensive utilization of associated silver.
