Abstract

Dian clan is a basic program in Yunnan nationalities research.The paper makes a study on Dian indigenous population in Dianchi area through the use of a large number of archaeological data and archaeological and historic research methods in the aspect of the development and characteristics of Dian culture and the time of the southern immigration of Diqiang family and negates the viewpoints of Dian clan as Yue and Niao clan with reduction to absurdity.
