Research on Reform of Teaching Method of Mechanics and Structure

Mechanics and Structure is one of fundamental course on non-structural specialty in civil engineering. As a new conception and a teaching approach,the goal of qualitative structural mechanics is to train and develop students' ability in qualitative analysis and estimation,which has been proved to be effective and positive in the course of Structural Mechanics. Based on the features of non-structure major and basic requirement of the course,the paper focuses on the students' mechanics concept establishment and analysis capability training,by introducing qualitative structural mechanics into the course of Mechanics and Structure.
