Probe into the History and Practice of Chinese and Foreign Digital Library Construction

Based on introducing the definition of the digital library, this paper sums up and analyzes on the history, present status and famous digital library projects of Chinese and foreign digital library construction, and points out that the individualized information service is an important measure for strengthening the core competitive power of the digital library.
