Abstract
A structure of hign efficiency Doherty power amplifier is researched for OFDM with the characteristic of high peak power to average power ratio(PAPR) in the third generation ofcommunication system.Doherty power amplifier is compared with the conventional class-AB balance amplifier in ADS,then measured them in the same condition.Measurement results show that the power added efficiency(PAE) of the Doherty amplifier remains 37% with 6 dB input power back off and the third intermoudulation distortion is-42 dBc,so it is suitable for the third generation wireless communication.
