Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficiency of the frozen apheresis platelets by the Amicus separator,in order to make up for the deficiency of the fresh apheresis platelets during the rescue. Methods Patients were randomly allocated into two groups, and two groups received transfusion of fresh and frozen apheresis platelets respectively. The pre-and post-transfusion corrected platelet count increment(CCI) and clinical treatment efficiency were compared between the two groups. Results The frozen apheresis platelets transfusion resulted in higher CCI and better clinical efficiency than the fresh apheresis platelets tranfusion signifi cantly. Conclusions The frozen apheresis platelets can be used in rescuing the patients with haemorrhagic diseases induced by platelets deficiency.
