Chitinase Effect against Plant Fungus Disease

Chitinase is very important for plants to resist fungus disease,and it can hydrolyze chitin which is main component of fungus cell wall.In general,the content of chitinase in plants is very low.If transferring foreign chitinase into plants,the fungus disease resistance of plants is enhanced.However,transferring chitinase and other defensive protein into plants,the fungus disease resistance is enhanced greatly.In this paper,the biologic characteristic and the effect of resisting fungus disease of chitinase are summarized.
