Abstract

The relation among downstream Mach number, density ratio, pressure increase, shock angle and upstream Mach number are discussed based on a simple equation of state for water.A dimensionless shock polar equation is pressented. The critical conditions for the turning of attached oblique shock wave to detached shock wave and the downstream flowing at the velocity of sound are discussed. [WT5HZ]
