Abstract
Ultrasonic-assisted extraction technology of polyphenols from peach blossom was optimized with response surface methodology(RSM).Based on single factor test, the extraction temperature, extraction time and ratio of liquid to solid were chosen as casual factors. The Box-Behnken centerunited experimental design with three factors and three levels was used to optimize the extraction conditions.RSM was employed to study on the effect of these factors on the yield of polyphenols from peach blossom.Free radical scavenging activity evaluation was achieved by determining the abilities to scavenge DPPH and hydroxyl free radicals. The results showed that the optimum extraction technology was established as follows:extraction temperature 54 ℃,ultrasound time 35 minutes and solvent to material ratio 42:1(mL/g).In this condition, the actual extraction yield of peach blossom polyphenols was 29.394 mg/g,which was consistent with the predicted value of 29.429 mg/g.Polyphenols from peach blossom had certain scavenging effect on hydroxyl and DPPH radicals.
