Abstract
Objective: To evaluate liver contrast effects and principle with tansient response second harmonic imaging (TRSHI) Methods: Six dogs were imaged with conventional harmonic imaging and TRSHI after intravenous injection of ultrasound contrast agent The subjective scores and video intensities were recorded and analyzed Results: TRSHI scored significantly higher in subjective evaluation than conventional imaging The video intensities obtained from conventional imaging and TRSHI were 129 06+17 36 and 161 24+12 8 respectively (P 0 01) Conclusion: TRSHI can markedly enhance the contrast image of normal liver Thus it is better than conventional second harmonic imaging
