Abstract
Objective To study the liver function protection of compound glycyrrhizin in patients underwent transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization(TACE). Methods Select 91 primary hepatocellular carcinoma(PHC) patients underwent TACE. 46 patients as treatment group were given 150mg compound glycyrrhizin Injection per day besides symptomatic and supporting treatment in the next 15days after TACE. Another 45 patients as control group were given symptomatic and supporting treatment only in the following 15 days after TACE. Results There is no remarkable difference in the liver function of treatment group before and after TACE. Compared to treatment group, the TBIL of control group raised significantly in the 4 and 8 days after TACE(P0.01), fell in the 15 days, but still higher than the treatment group in the 15 days(P0.05); compared to control group, the ALT and AST fell markedly in the 4 and 8 days(P0.01), the two groups were essentially normal in the 15 days; compared to treatment group, the ALB begun to fall in the 8 days and raise in the 15 days, but couldn't return to the normal level(P0.05). Conclusion Compound glycyrrhizin can reduce hepatic damage and the occurrence of complications in patients underwent TACE.
