Effect of Land Use Change on Ecosystem Services Value in Chengdu

Abstract

Based on Costanza's ecosystem service value theory,the effect of Chengdu land use planning(1997~2010) on regional ecological environment was assessed quantitatively with referring to the table of Chinese land ecosystem services value of unit area.The result showed that the total ecosystem services value of Chengdu City would increase from 1.1506×1010 yuan to 1.1599×1010 yuan from 1996 to 2010 with 9.3×107 yuan net increment.The increasing trend of ecosystem service values caused by the change of land use showed that the planning of land use was reasonable and its implementation would improve the regional ecological environment.
