A Research into Regional Comprehensive Assessment in Chongqing

Based on SPSS software package and mapinfo technology, this paper has made a comprehensive assessment on the socio-economic development at county level, and revealed the characteristics and the laws of regional disparity about socio-economic development in the 40 countries of Chongqing. Firstly, factors that mainly influnce the social regional differentiations are socio-economic structure, economic level, population quality, traffic condition and people' input, and their weights are respectively 87.51% totally. At the same time, the paper indicates that there is obvious difference between the west and the east in Chongqing. All districts in Chongqing can be divided into five ranges: high development type, middle high development type, medium development type, elementary development type and entire lagged type.This text also has put forward some policy measures.
