Abstract
As an important variable of individual difference, cognitive style has been studied by scholars of various fields. Some researchers discuss the relationship between the cognitive style and play of preschool children. The study reveals that children of different cognitive styles show distinctive differences in the preference and performance in play. On the basis of a review on these researches, suggestions are given for teachers' instruction method and setting up play environment in the paper.
