Abstract

This article intends to reflect the similarities and origins of culture between Fujian and Taiwan through a research on Confucian temple with the examples of Quanzhou Confucian temple and Confucian temple in Tainan. As an architectural form, Confucian temple building not only obeys the organizational system but also reflects the difference of nationalities and regions. It gives us a good deal of enlightenment how to carry forward the quintessence of traditional architectural art against a background of globalization.
