Abstract

Cataloging efficiently is one of the strategic goals of libraries,as the contemporary cataloging theory and practice are facing challenges in the Internet environment.By analyzing the procedures and conclusions of CC:DA in the evaluation of ordinary metadata as a source of cataloging,this essay points out that the integration of ordinary metadata with the library's controlled cataloging system is the key of the solution.
