Wang Wei and An-shi Rebellion

Abstract

An shi Rebellion in Mid Tang Dynasty was an incident of enormous significance which had great influence on intellects' behavior, thoughts and mental states. The close relationship between Wang Wei and the Rebellion involves the complicated situation of Wang's involvement in the rebellion and public attitudes to him in Tang Dynasty, the historical background as well as the subjective and objective factors and his state of mind after the rebellion.
