Abstract

As a typical porphyry copper deposit, the Luobuling copper(molybdenum)deposit is studied in the paper, its metallogenic geological environment, deposit geological characteristics, features of ore body and wallrock alteration are analyzed, the authors believe that ore-controlling granodiorite porphyry and granodiorite have formed in the late Yanshanian with related to the NE-trending and WN-trending fault structure, and its wall rocks have underwent strong hydrothermal alteration to show good alteration zoning. The spatial distribution, attitude and size of the copper(molybdenum)deposit are controlled by granodiorite porphyry, which forms in front of porphyry(contact belt inside and outside),it belongs to medium-high temperatures porphyry hydrothermal deposits.
