The value of scientific journal editors and their new tasks

The paper points out that the position and value of the occupation as editors are not high in people's mind and many editors are confused and tired about their career.The paper analyzes the new meanings of editors' value and the future direction of their striving,and holds that the major tasks of the editors should be changed from only editing and proofreading to undertaking some new responsibilities.Based on the summarizing of the editing process,eight new tasks for the editors are put forward.
