Abstract
In the area of Yunlong reservoir of Yunnan province,there are 104 species of wild resourcesof medicinal seed plants which belong to 56 families and 94 genera.The percentage of the medicinalseed plants to the total seed plants in the same area is23.3%.The preponderant families of medicinalseed plants are Compositae,Labiatae,Campanulaceae,Umbelliferae,Ranunculaceae,Rosaceae,Ru-biaceae and Scrophulariaceae.The preponderant genera areAnemone,Artemisia,Carpesium,Conyzaand Elsholtzia.The perpendicular distribution of the medicinal seed plants is asymmetrical.The spe-cies number in the altitude of 2 070 ~2 080 m is the maximum,next is the 2 010 ~2 030 m and thethird is the 2430 ~2440 m.After the water-storing of reservoir is fulfilled entirely,53.8% of the wildresources of medicinal seed plants will permanently be submerged.This research may provide a prepar-atory information for the protection of the entironment surrounding the reservoir and for the scientificsafeguard and utilization of the wild resources of medicinal seed plants.
