Abstract
A high efficiency strain was screened out from polluted soil in a refuse transfer station, and added into landfill leachate in an anaerobic bottle shaking test. The result shows that the strain has a higher anaerobic removal efficiency of ammonia nitrogen. In the biological reactor added with the strain,a landfill simulation test was conducted for 282 days. The results indicate that the ammonia nitrogen and COD in landfill leachate are removed synchronously. The COD and ammonia nitrogen in landfill leachate on the 282th day are 770 mg/L and 90.1 mg/L,respectively.Thus the difficulty in post-treatment of landfill leachate is greatly reduced.
