Abstract

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of thansplantation of allograft bone and vascularized free fibular autograft for repairing large bone and soft tissues defects of lower extremities. Methods: 12 cases of patients with large bone and soft tissues defects of lower extremities underwent allograft bone and vascularized free fibular autograft from May 2005 to May 2009 were designed as observation group,16 patients treated with vascularized free fibular autograft from 2000 to 2004 were selected as control group. Results: All the flaps were alive after follow-up 12 to 40 months.Grafted allograft had showed bone union 3 to 8 months after operation. It was 91.7% and 80.7% of the limb function recovered in two groups with significant difference(P0.01).The excellent and good rate of joint was 91.7%(11/12) and 81.3%(13/16),there was a significant difference in the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion: Thansplantation of allograft bone and vascularized free fibular autograft for repairing large bone and soft tissues defects of lower extremities can improve limb function and decrease disability rate with well union of allograft and autogenous bone.
