Abstract

Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter is a great novel,a fascinating labyrinth of art. In this paper, the author makes a survey of the book in the aspects of language, structure, theme, and the use of symbolism. It has complicated themes; its structure is unique; its psychological description is minute; and the use of symbolism in the book is pervasive. It has an eternal artistic attraction to the readers.
