On Tang Jun-yi's View of Culture

Tang Jun-yi,the famous modern philosopher,was one of the important representatives of Modern New Confucianism.He considered expounding the value Confucianism as his responsibility,especially paying attentions to the humanism spirit of Chinese civilization.He held high the flag of humanism,survey Chinese traditional culture once more with critical attitude,approved the spirit value of Chinese culture and tried to find out the best modern transforming route of Chinese traditional culture,which had profound enlightenment and referential sense for overcoming national nihilism,properly solving the contradictions of tradition and modern,Chinese culture and west culture,conflicting and integration,and building up the socialistic new culture system.
