Abstract

The finite element method is used for analyzing the oil film force of bearing,it follows that the identification of the dynamic coefficients for the oil-film in a journal bearing (including the oil-film stiffness and damping coefficients). The Reynolds Equation needs to be solved only once. The comparison of the calculation results and the theoretical values demonstrates that this method is effective and practical.
