A clinical study of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) combined with three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3DCRT) in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of combined transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) and three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3DCRT) for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods 30 cases of HCC were divided into 2 groups,15 cases treated with a combination of TACE and 3DCRT,the other with TACE.Results The percentage of TSR(PR+MR) was 66.67% in the treated group,40% in the control group.The difference was significant(P0.05).The percentage of AFP declined was 100% in the treated group,86.67% in the control group.The difference was significant(P0.05).The cumulate survival rate of 6 months,1 year and 2 years in the treated group were 100.00%(15/15),60.00%(9/15),33.33%(5/15),and 80.00%(12/15),33.33%(5/15),20%(3/15) in the control group respectively.The median survival time of the treated group was 18.5 months,and in the control group was 10 months.Conclusion The clinical effect of TACE combined with 3DCRT is better than single TACE in the near future.
