Discussions on China Digital Radio Broadcasting

With further development of digital technology and continuous expansion of radio broadcasting industry,the digital radio broadcast business is strongly promoted.Currently,the main digital radio systems include Digital Audio Broadcasting(DAB),Digital Radio Mondiale(DRM),Digital High-Definition Broadcasts(HD-Radio),etc.These technologies have their advantages as well as limitations which may restrict their application in China.While discussing the development of China digital radio broadcasting,the introduction of a totally new digital radio technology of the in-band high-definition is made,and comparison with above mentioned technologies is given to clarify the characteristics of this new technical system.Based on the reliable technical schemes,speeding up the promulgation of our own standard——China Digital Radio(CDRadio) helps accelerate the formation and development of the industry.
