Abstract
Objective To establish a reference range of venous blood cell counts measured by automated hematologic analyzer in healthy adults in Shanghai.Methods An automated hematologic analyzer(Beckman Coulter LH 755) was used to examine the parameters of venous blood routine test in 14 456 healthy people,and of them,7 144 males,7 312 females and their age 18-65 years.Results The ranges of red blood cell(RBC) was(4.19-5.6) ×1012/L in the male and(3.62-4.88) ×1012/L in the female,hemoglobin(HGB) 133-171 g/L in the male and 114-148 g/L in the female,hematocrit(HCT) was 0.38-0.5 in the male and 0.32-0.44 in the female,mean corpuscular volume(MCV) was 83.6-97.6 fl in the male and 82.7-97.2 fl in the female,mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH) was 28.3-33.8 pg in the male and 27.8-33.7 pg in the female,mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration(MCHC) was 329-357 g/L in the male and 327-357 g/L in the female,red distribution width(RDW) was 11.5-13.9 in the male and 11.2-14.3 in the female,platelet(PLT) was(110-304) ×109/L in the male and(116-322) ×109/L in the female,mean platelet volume(MPV) was 6.7-11.1 fl in the male and 6.7-11.2 fl in the female,The range of white blood cell(WBC) was(3.3-9.2) ×109/L in the male and(3.1-9.0) ×109/L in the female.Conclusions There are more significant differences in the parameters of RBC,HGB and HCT between the male and the female.In the peoples aged 18 to 65,the range of parameters do not show significant difference in the same gender.Some parameters of the indices such as WBC,MCV and MCH in the healthy adults and HGB in the male measured by automated hematologic analyzer show quite significant difference comparing with those measured manually.
