Application of prospective nursing quality management model

Abstract
Objective:To explore the effect of prospective nursing quality management model on risk avoidance,nursing quality improvement and nursing defect reduction.Method:The nursing hierarchy management model was applied in 6 units that carried out consecutive shift arrangement.We identified nursing responsibility and authority of every level,modified clinical nursing work mode and established nursing procedure and guideline of three levels quality controlling system.Nursing quality was compared by nursing defect rate before and after applying prospective nursing quality management model.Results:There was significant improvement in basic nursing quality in 2010 compared with that in 2009.Conclusion:The application of prospective nursing quality management model could fully arouse nurses'potential,provide the patients attentive,safe,professional nursing service,reduce nursing defect and play an important role in nursing quality management.
