Abstract
The basic operation principle,structural characteristics and application of the rectangular microstrip antenna are discussed.The paper introduces the design process of the rectangular microstrip antenna at the center frequency of 800 MHz.At first,the antenna′s parameters are calculated.Afterwards,the antenna′s model is set up and simulated by HFSS.The optimal antenna′s parameters are obtained and the antenna fit in with the demands of designing.Finally,ADS is applied to design the matching network for the antenna.
