Structure and Characteristic Analysis of Agricultural Trade in China

At the present stage,the explosion of agricultural trade import results in an unfavorable agricultural trade balance patterns in China.In regional terms,the agricultural trade deficit in China was mainly engendered by the trade with America,Brazil and the ASEAN countries;and the surplus mainly by the trade with East Asian countries and the European Union.From the product structure view,the deficit mainly caused by the trade of food crop and animal husbandry;and the surplus mainly by the trade about the gardening products and vegetable products.Based on the analysis of history and status in trade deficit and surplus in China,the author draws the evidently prime features of China's agricultural trade as listed below: it was influenced less by global recession than the total value of exports and imports;its proportion in China's total value of exports and imports has been decreasing;there still are more trade barriers,dificuties and greater stress;it is heavily depend on the exports and imports of main countries and regions;and so on.
