Abstract

It indicates a reflection and critique Deng zhenglai made on the China's jurisprudence from 1978 to 2004.Su li has also questioned paradigmthat Deng zhenglai defines.In the meaning of modernization that Foucault used,Deng zhenglai is a modernist;In the meaning of modernity that Habermas used,Deng zhenglai is also a modernist.Because modernity is a concept that has many different definitions,it is important that how to define modernity.
