Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacies of using one-visit root canal therapy(RCT) and several-visit RCT in the treatment of cracked teeth with pulpitis. Methods A total of 172 cracked teeth with pulpitis which needed root canal treatment were divided into two groups at random.Patients in Group A were treated with one-visit RCT,and patients in group B were treated with several-visit RCT.Both of them were treated with Cortisomol and gutta-percha points. Results After a week, the pain incidence rate of Group A was 10.23%,while that of Group B was 8.33%,with no significantly different between the two groups. One year later, the achievement ratio of Group A was 92.04%,higher than that of Group B,but the difference was not significant. Conclusion Compared with several-visit root canal therapy,one-visit root canal therapy in the treatment of cracked teeth with pulpitis is effective and was recommended.
