Abstract

A corresponding physical and mathematical model was established for Daihatsu 6PSHdM-26H supercharged four-stroke turbocharged marine diesel engine, and the thermal process was simulated and analyzed.Taking surging as an entry point,a numerical method of turbocharging system was set up.The calculation results and analysis of the impact of increased delayed combustion on the running performance of diesel engine were given.Fuel injection system failure or poor quality low-grade heavy fuel oil would raise the exhaust gas temperature and increase dramatically delayed combustion. It would affect the flow characteristics of the diesel engine, and change the running line between diesel engine and the turbocharger, which led to compressor surging. Finally, the basic running law of turbocharging system for four-stroke medium-speed turbocharged diesel engine was derived.
