Applicable Value of Multislice Spiral CT Angiography in the Diagnosis of Aortic Dissection

Abstract

Objective To explore the applicable value of multislice spiral CT angiography(MSCTA) in the diagnosis of aorta dissection.Methods CT findings of 25 patients with aortic dissection were retrospectively analyzed,the CT source data were transferred into workstation and were postprocessed by using multiplanar reconstruction(MPR),maximum intensity projection(MIP),volume rendering technique(VRT).Results According to DeBakey classification,there were 9 cases of typeⅠ,1 cases of typeⅡ,and 15 cases of type Ⅲin the 25 cases.Imaging could clearly show the entire aortic blood vessels and its branch vessels,the location of entry tears,the shape and size of true and false lumen,the internal membrane,thrombus.Conclusions MSCTA has the positive applicable value in the diagnosis of aortic dissection so that it shall be the first choice to diagnose this disease.
