Abstract
Shi Zhe cun's spiritual world is somewhat both interrelated and contradictory.First is the contradiction between his political thought and cultural pursuit.Second is the contradiction of choice between Confucian thought and Marxist theory of revolution. Both aspests,so to speak, reflect the conflict between humanistic ideal and revolutionary practice, and between poetry and history. On the one hand,Confucianism attaches importance to the harmony of human nature;on the other hand,Marxist essential aim is to realize both man's liberal and overall development and the final harmony between poetry and history, but it stresses that this ideal aim should be realized by class struggle. It is just at this point that an prominent contradiction arises between Marxism and Confucianism.Shi Zhe cun was just filled with such a contradiction in the 1930s.
