A Rectification of the Shi-jing Theories by Han Dynasty Scholars

This paper, starting from the poem entitled Han-guang in Confucius' Commentaries on the Book of Poetry, proposes that Han-guang of Zhou-nan should not at all be conceived as a love poem, but a poetic text admonishing the sons of the Zhou family not to court the nameless girls along the areas of the Han River. It is then a safe conjecture that this poem was composed in the middle or late of Western Zhou Dynasty. The author further puts forward that Preface to Maoshi (the Book of Poetry) should be a production of a scholar in Eastern Han Dynasty. So the viewpoint that the article was written by WEI Hong should receive recognition.
