Cross-Strait Comparison on the Public Environmental Consciousness and Its Enlightenments

With the social development in the mainland China and Taiwan,environmental consciousness awakening has been a common phenomenon. Nevertheless,social process differences encourage us to compare the public environmental consciousness. This article analyzes the social surveys from the mainland China and Taiwan,including Chinese General Social Survey and Taiwan Social Change Survey 2010,to compare the environmental consciousness and relative attitudes in the mainland China and Taiwan. It also puts forward some suggestions for dealing with the awakening of public environmental consciousness.
