The Evaluation of Characteristics Mutation During the Growth of Pinus massoniana Clones

Thirty-nine Pinus massoninana for pulp use were selected from forests of fine provenance , progeny test trees of seed orchard by two steps of selection ,based on the growth , wood property of the ortets and rooting abilities of cuttage.The average height , DBH and volume growth of these clones at six years old were 42 percent and 75 percent and 226 percent respectively higher than those from seedlings . and average section gain of wood density got to 8.7 percent. Some first-class families selected from these testing breeds can be chosen establish Pinus massoniana cutting orchard.
