Abstract
Objective: To observe the effects of 9-cis-retinoic acid(9-cis-RA) on RARα?RARβ and RXRα transcriptional levels in lung tumor tissue and control lung tissue. Methods: Tumor tissue and lung tissue were cultured by tissue mass method. RARα?RARβ and RXRα transcriptional levels were detected by RT-PCR. Results: Compared with control tissue, tumor tissue has a significant increase of RARα transcription(P0.01), significant decrease of RARβ transcription (P0.01) and increase of RXRα transcription (P0.05); When treated with 9-cis-RA, RARα transcription was increased in control tissue (P0.05) while RARβ significantly increased in tumor tissue (P0.01). Conclusion: There is a significant lower expression of RARβ in lung tumor tissue than in control, which comes from the same person; 9-cis-RA can induce RARβ expression significantly, reaching the transcriptional level in control lung tissue.
