Abstract
Satellite Laser Ranging(SLR) is one of the most precise modern geodesy technologies. Its data play an important role in precise orbit estimation of satellite and aircraft, and determination of earth rotating parameters. It is vital for establishing and maintaining earth reference system, highly precise time transferring all over the world and so on.Kowning that satellite prediction is the base of satellite laser ranging, the paper presented the precision needs of position and time of satellite prediction and analyzed the differences of IRV and CPF satellite prediction formats. Results indicated that both two methods can satisfy SLR but the CPF is better than IRV in prediction.
