Abstract
A theoretical method for locating GSM mobile user is presented. With it the attacker can spoof the mobile phone to send its IMSI and IMEI identifiers to the air by changing the messages transmitted between the mobile phone and the base station. After intercepting IMSI and IMEI, the attacker can locate the mobile phone user through LAI received from the broadcast messages of the current base station. Both mobile phone user and the base station are not aware of the action of locating during this attacking procedure.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
