The curative effect of acupuncture and massage in treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis

Objective To study the clinical measures and effect of acupuncture and massage in treatment of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis. Methods 72 cases of vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis in our hospital from January 2009 to December 2011 were selected as retrospectie case objects and divided into observation group(acupuncture and massage combination) and treatment group(conventional treatment) based on the methods of diagnosis and cure,36 patients of each group. Clinical curative effect and methods of two groups were observed and summarized in order to guide clinical practice. Results Disease symptoms improvement,the cure rate of observation group were superior to conventional treatment,two groups have significant difference(α= 0.05). Conclusion The acupuncture and massage in treatment of patients with vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis can significantly improve the clinical symptom and restore cervical function,worthy of clinical application.
