Abstract
The refluxing extraction process of Coix seed oil and the kinetics of the process were investigated.Parameters including solvents, particles size, and extraction time affecting the recovery rate were studied and the optimal extraction process was determined. The extraction kinetics were studied. The optimal refluxing extraction conditions were as follows:acetone solvent, acetone to material ratio 7∶1,reflux time 3 h,particle size 0.25 mm.When the partical size was less than 0.83 mm,the kinetics fit the second order model. The result could be used to optimize and control the extraction process of Coix seed oil.
