The Application of Discourse Analysis of Functional Grammar to English Discourse Teaching

Abstract

The understanding of text is a complex process of interaction between language and thinking.In the process of discourse understanding,the discourse analysis theory of functional grammar will no doubt provide us with a useful source of inspiration.Based on the discourse analysis theory of functional grammar,this article focused on the application of this theory to the discourse understanding to help students improve their understanding of discourse.
